PAINTED DOG

I am really proud to release this Painted Dog Bronze to help raise funds for the Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) project.

The PDC's mission is to conserve and increase the population of the painted dog (Lycaon pictus), both in Zimbabwe and elsewhere in Africa, by providing conservation tools and education material that can be used to protect this highly endangered carnivore.

The Bronze is a Limited Edition of 12 and I will be donating 20% from each piece sold, a total of £7200, to help fund the many initiatives that the PDC set-up and run to protect these beautiful animals from extinction.

Nicky Vyvyan-Robinson from the PDC says: "We are very privileged that Adam has chosen to support PDC specifically by creating this beautiful piece. We hope that the proceeds from the sales will raise the necessary funds for the long-awaited and much-needed veterinary centre at PDC.

This centre will be built adjacent to the rehabilitation facility and will allow injured dogs to be treated in situ rather than having to endure a 4 hour journey to the nearest vet practice in Bulawayo. It will also include a laboratory for processing samples and a cold room for the safe storage of meat and food supplies for the recovering dogs.

The vet clinic is essential to the continued protection of painted dogs when every individual counts and injured or snared animals need to be treated and returned to their pack as soon as possible. It will also provide a veterinary service to the local community for their sick animals thus expanding PDC’s holistic approach to conservation and increasing local goodwill towards the project"
